March - anti-discrimination month in school in Krypy

In March our school organized the activities on 1st March (Zero Discrimination Day) and the 21st March (International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and Week of Solidarity with the Peoples Struggling against Racism and Racial Discrimination) to raise our awareness of discrimination that still takes place in European countries these days. We had 2 workshops with the psychologists Aleksandra Iwaneczko – Kresa and Hanna Roguska from the Pedagogical Cancelling Agency in Węgrów. The students had a chance to have a discussion about the tolerance and respect towards the other cultures, especially people of different races. Our cancellers encouraged us to share our oppinon and thoughts. We pointed out that every person is entitled to human rights without discrimination. The rights to equality and non-discrimination are cornerstones of human rights law. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms without distinction of race or any other kind.Yet racism, xenophobia and intolerance are problems prevalent in all societies, and discriminatory practices are widespread. We say no to discrimination of any kind! The product of our meeting was a Tolerance Corner where we put all the important information regarding the problem of dicrimination.
